STAKES WINNING / GROUP PERFORMER

Rock Hero is an impressive stakes winning / group performer who displayed a great turn of foot with a high cruising speed. He won or placed from 1400m to 1600. He displayed brilliant speed when running a track record and breaking his maiden status at Canterbury by six and half lengths over 1550. He was a gifted galloper that showed untapped ability with an ultra-impressive victory in the Listed Dulcify Handicap after missing the start.

AN OUTSTANDING MILER

Rock Hero was an outstanding miler and looked like a major Autumn Carnival contender after a gutsy second in the Gr.2 Autumn Stakes at Caulfield, unfortunately injuring himself and bringing his racing career to a premature end. David Payne commented that he would have won a Gr.1 over 1600m if he had not received this career ending injury... He was a proven 3yo sprinter / miler with the potential and scope to race on over further distances as he matured and was a very special horse in the making.
